As Christians we are called to support and care for those who are most in need. We are working on several projects at the moment, to care for the most vulnerable. In partnership with the mental health team, we are offering opportunities for support to those who struggle with mental wellbeing.
PROVIDING FOOD FOR CHILDREN
We also working to provide play and food sessions for children whose families are on the lowest incomes over the holidays. We expect to offer at least 360 opportunities for children to receive meals, care and activities.
HOPE IN ACTION: providing safe housing for those facing challenges.
We are delighted to inform you that we are in the process of buying a house. Our generous investors have enabled us to have an offer accepted on a three bedroomed semi-detached house in Beverley. We hope to complete the purchase within the next two months or so. In addition, we are in discussions with ERYC to help us identify our first tenants.
We are also now seeking volunteers to help us take the project forward in the following pastoral areas:
We also need an Empowerment Worker, as volunteer or a paid role for one day a week, to provide professional support, advice and signposting to other agencies. The aim is to support, lead and empower the tenants to independence.
