Beverley Grammar School

Beverley Grammar School was founded in 700 AD and is the oldest state school in England. Today the school educates 850 pupils.

In June 2020, during the hard lockdown of the UK due to the COVID-19 pandemic, 42 Year 7 Religious Education pupils took part in a 3-week home schooling project focused on St Mary’s. The students were asked to research St Mary’s and create a booklet all about the church (which could include e.g. games, a model, a quiz, flaps, and treasure hunt).
